Just download the Substance player from the link below and use it to open the builder SBSAR files you wish to work with. Setting the scale to ‘0.1’ seems to achieve the proper dimensioning of the pattern lines. Once you understand how Chief Architect behaves with different properties and maps, you can dig right in and make your own maps using Substance Player (a free download) and these source files weve set up to generate materials. Within the ChiefSiding.pat file, you can choose from the dropdown list one of the Board and Batten pattern styles. Chief Architect provides custom patterns for Siding, as well as numerous other surface types. In order to use this feature, in the Define Materials dialog, on the Patterns tab, choose the Custom Pattern File option, and then browse to the Patterns directory in your Program Files folder (see image). Select the Texture radio button or the Texture dialog panel, depending on which product you're using, and then click either Select or Browse to browse for the image you'd like to use for your custom material. Give the new material a short, descriptive Name. For those who attended the Wall Elevations and Sections presentation with Scott and I, thank you for joining us! There was a popular request for a Board and Batten pattern to be added to Chief. Right-click on the User Catalog folder and select New> Material from the contextual menu.
